Inside the food mecca of Tekka Centre, Haji Johan is helmed by third-generation owner Mohd Hafiz, who prepares his grandfather's recipe from the early morning. The fritters are crisp, the selection wide — from prawn cakes to stuffed tofu — and the sauce is the thick, sweet-and-spicy kind that defines a good Indian rojak.
