Bee Cheng Hiang

Founded in 1933, Bee Cheng Hiang is Singapore's most recognisable bak kwa name, with outlets islandwide and a flagship in Chinatown. Its barbecued pork is sweet, smoky and charcoal-grilled, sold in slices you can buy by weight as a snack or gift. Year-round it's a popular souvenir, but at Chinese New Year the queues can stretch for hours. Try the classic sliced pork or the chilli version, and have it vacuum-packed to take home.
