Afandi & Family

Considered by many the gold standard for mee rebus, Afandi & Family traces back to the old Paya Lebar Airport in 1967 and now anchors Haig Road Food Centre, the city's Malay food mecca. The mee rebus gravy is famously deep, built with flower crab, mutton, dried shrimp and anchovy, and the same stall does excellent mee siam and mee soto. Everything is halal, hearty and made the traditional way. Come hungry and try all three across a couple of plates.
