A hands-on temple to curiosity in Jurong, the Science Centre packs more than 1,000 interactive exhibits across a dozen galleries — fire tornadoes, optical illusions, a giant walk-through model of the human body and a whole hall devoted to the science of everyday life. Live demonstrations are the highlight, and the crackling, hair-raising Tesla coil lightning show is a perennial favourite. Next door, the dome-screen Omni-Theatre shows immersive science and nature films, while seasonal blockbuster exhibitions — dinosaurs, da Vinci and the like — draw the crowds. It's brilliant for kids but engaging for adults too. Allow a half-day, and check show timings when you arrive.
