The foundation is fragrant coconut rice steamed with pandan, plated with sweet-fiery sambal, a crispy fried chicken wing, fried anchovies, peanuts, cucumber and a fried egg. The rice is fluffy and rich, the sambal leans sweet rather than searing, making it an easy crowd-pleaser. It's a beloved breakfast and brunch spot, so the queue forms early and the best sides sell out by midday. Add an otah or fried fishcake, and wash it down with a teh tarik.
