Singapore's cable car has glided between Mount Faber, the HarbourFront terminal and Sentosa since 1974, and it remains the most scenic way onto the island. From the glass cabins you float high above the working cruise harbour, the green slopes of Mount Faber and the rooftops of Sentosa, with the city skyline and the southern islands stretched out beyond. A second 'Sentosa Line' then loops over the island's treetops and beaches. Splurge on a private cabin with sky-dining at dinner, or simply ride at dusk as the lights flicker on. It's pricier than the train or boardwalk, but the views justify it — and Mount Faber's lookout points are free to visit on their own.
