A long-running stall at Zion Riverside Food Centre, this is many locals' benchmark for old-school char kway teow. The noodles are fried dark and slightly sweet with cockles, Chinese sausage, fishcake and egg, leaning to the moister, richer side of the spectrum. The uncle fries in small batches for maximum wok hei, so expect a wait at peak hours. Ask for extra cockles if you love them, and eat it piping hot off the plate. The riverside hawker centre is an easy stroll from Great World, handy when you're exploring the area.
