Singapore's entry is quick and digital — most visitors need no visa, but everyone must file the free online SG Arrival Card in the three days before they land.
SG Arrival Card
Every traveller must submit the SG Arrival Card, with a short health declaration, within three days before arrival (counting the arrival day). It's free on the ICA website or the MyICA app — ignore third-party sites that charge a fee.
Visas
Many nationalities enter visa-free: holders of Chinese ordinary passports get 30 days, and most Western passports 30 to 90 days. Check the ICA website for your country before you book.
Passport
Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry.
Customs & duty-free
You may bring in up to two litres of alcohol duty-free (if you're 18 or older, have been away over 48 hours and aren't arriving from Malaysia). There is no duty-free allowance for cigarettes — all tobacco must be declared, and undeclared cigarettes draw heavy fines.
Biometric clearance
Changi clears travellers in about ten seconds with facial and iris scans. Foreign visitors still present their passport on arrival, then enjoy passport-free lanes when they depart.
